Suhail Khan has independent dietician practices in The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.

Besides his work as primary caregiver he regularly gives courses in the field of nutrition with regard to different conditions. He organizes cooking classes and workshops and holds lectures and briefings.

Reading and writing about food and health is his passion.

As a dietitian, my approach to helping individuals with their nutrition is centered around personalized care and evidence-based practices. When I work with clients, I take the time to understand their unique nutritional needs, health objectives, and any medical considerations they may have. This allows me to create customized meal plans and strategies that align with their lifestyle and goals, ensuring they can sustain healthy habits in the long run. I find great joy in empowering my clients with knowledge and support, witnessing their progress, and contributing to their overall well-being through better eating habits.

My Process

As a dietitian, my process begins with an initial consultation, where I sit down with my clients to understand their health history, dietary preferences, and goals. From there, I conduct a thorough assessment of their nutritional needs and identify areas that require improvement or modification. Using evidence-based research, I develop personalized meal plans and lifestyle recommendations that suit their unique circumstances. Throughout the journey, I provide continuous guidance, monitor their progress, and make necessary adjustments to ensure they achieve sustainable and positive outcomes in their health and nutrition.

Orthomolecular Medicine

 In the orthomolecular treatment approach, the primary goal is to obtain as many essential and beneficial nutrients from the diet while minimizing harmful substances. Unfortunately, even for a healthy individual, it is nearly impossible to consume optimal amounts of certain nutrients solely through food. The most well-known example of this is folic acid.

 

Most diseases originate from a disrupted gut flora. That’s why we believe that your intestines form the foundation of your health. Healthy intestines are synonymous with a healthy body.

Khan begon zijn praktijk in december 2005, net toen de diëtetiek
in de basisverzekering kwam. Hij werkte destijds bij het Leids
Universitair Medisch Centrum (LUMC). Dat werk bleef hij in eerste instantie doen, maar na een jaar stortte hij zich volledig op zijn praktijk.

Geloof in jezelf en geef niet op

Weten waar je naartoe wilt: je moet echt een helicopterview hebben, Keihard werken en timemanagement zijn noodzakelijk. En niet te vergeten: nakomen wat je afspreekt en positief denken. Dan kun je echt alles bereiken.
